Registered Dietitian Nutritionist, Registered Nurse
Angannette is passionate about helping those with chronic digestive problems overcome their symptoms and get their energy back. She understands first-hand how difficult it can be to struggle with the discomfort and stress that comes from having an IBS or IBD diagnosis.
She was diagnosed with both over 20 years ago and tried (what seemed like) everything before finally getting into lasting remission. Her goal is to help clients eat the largest variety of foods possible while using food as medicine to get to the root cause of your symptoms.
Angannette has been a dietitian for more than 20 years and has worked in various hospitals and long-term care centers. She received her nutrition & dietetics degree at Kent State University and completed her dietetic internship at The Christ Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio and later went on to complete a bachelor’s degree in nursing. Over the past several years she has focused on functional and gastrointestinal nutrition and received advanced certifications in these areas.
She lives in Longmont with her husband and energetic daughter. She moved to Colorado in 2010 and loves being outside whenever possible- whether it’s hiking in the mountains, stand-up paddle boarding at the local lake or taking a morning walk through her neighborhood. When she’s not outside, you might find her coloring with her daughter, playing pickleball with her husband, spending time with her church family or reading about the gut microbiome!
Angannette’s nutrition specialties include:
- Gastrointestinal conditions including:
- Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS)
- Crohn’s Disease
- Ulcerative Colitis
- Gastro esophageal reflux (GERD)
